Hello
Oak creek-franklin
COMMUNITY!

stay up to date on the future of our oak creek high school pool

Dear oak creek and franklin community:

We are very thankful for the ongoing support we receive from our community, including voters backing a facilities referendum in 2018. That funding allowed the District to complete the majority of the facility master plan. We’re happy to report all projects were completed on time and under budget.

The only remaining issue in the master plan is deciding if or how to fix the swimming pool. The pool has provided a place for swimming lessons, high school physical education, swim/dive teams, and community fitness for more than 60 years. However, the pool is past its life expectancy
(55 years) and will require a significant investment soon.

The Board of Education is committed to finalizing a plan for the pool that reflects the priorities of the taxpayers and meets the needs of our students and community.  Recognizing the importance of the pool to the community, the Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District has initiated a survey to gather input from community members.

The survey will arrive in mailboxes the week of March 18, 2024. Residents can complete the survey via mail or online using their unique code. Please complete the survey by April 3, 2024

Results of the survey will be made available on the district website by the end of April, with the school board slated to review and discuss the findings. This collaborative approach ensures that the voices of community members are heard and considered in determining the best course of action for the OCHS swimming pool.

Sincerely,
Mr. Daniel Thielen
Superintendent
Oak Creek-Franklin School District
